Player Safety

Responsible Gambling

Gambling should be an entertaining activity — not a source of financial stress or personal harm. 98pr provides a range of tools, resources and safeguards to help you stay in control of your play. Whether you want to set a deposit limit, take a break, or exclude yourself entirely, everything you need is right here and accessible within your account at any time.

18+

Adults Only — No Exceptions

The 98pr platform is strictly for users aged 18 years or older — or the higher minimum age required by the Operator's licence jurisdiction. Age verification is mandatory for all accounts before withdrawals are processed and may be requested at any point during the account lifecycle. Registering on behalf of a minor or allowing a minor to access your account are serious breaches of our Terms & Conditions. Being 18 or older does not, by itself, make online gambling lawful in Pakistan. Users are solely responsible for verifying that participating in online gambling is legal in their own jurisdiction before registering or depositing. This is not legal advice.

In-Account Controls

Player Protection Tools

All tools below are available in your Account Settings at any time. You do not need to contact Support to activate most of them — they are self-service by design.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum deposit amount per day, week or month. Once a limit is active, it cannot be increased for a mandatory cooling-off period — typically 24 hours for a reduction reversal — so that short-term impulses cannot override your longer-term intentions. Lowering your limit takes effect immediately.

Available in Account Settings
Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you can lose within a defined period — daily, weekly or monthly. When your loss limit is reached, betting and casino play will be paused for the remainder of that period. This is one of the most direct safeguards against chasing losses, which is one of the clearest warning signs of problem gambling.

Available in Account Settings
Session Time Limits

Restrict the maximum continuous time you can spend on the Platform in a single session. Once the limit is reached, you will be logged out automatically. A session timer reminder can also be activated to send alerts at intervals during active play — a useful nudge if you tend to lose track of time during long cricket betting sessions or live casino play.

Available in Account Settings
Cooling-Off / Time Out

If you need a short break from the Platform, you can activate a cooling-off period ranging from 24 hours to several weeks. During a time-out, your account remains open but betting and deposits are disabled. This is different from self-exclusion — it is designed for players who want a temporary pause rather than a permanent break.

Available in Account Settings
Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion permanently closes your account for a minimum period you select, typically ranging from six months to five years, or permanently. Once active, self-exclusion cannot be reversed within the chosen period. Any remaining real-money balance is returned to your registered payment method. Self-exclusion is the strongest tool available and is the right choice if gambling is causing harm.

Available in Account Settings or via Support
Activity & Reality Check

Review your full betting and gaming history, net win/loss figures and session duration reports from within your account dashboard. Reality checks are automated on-screen prompts that appear at intervals during active play, displaying how long you have been playing and your net position — helping you make informed decisions about whether to continue.

Available in Account Settings

How to access your tools: Log in to your 98pr account → go to Account Settings → select Responsible Gambling or Player Safety. All limits and controls listed above are accessible there. If you encounter any difficulty, contact 24/7 live support who can activate limits on your behalf and, in urgent cases, process self-exclusion immediately.

Know the Signs

Recognising Problem Gambling

Gambling becomes a problem when it stops being a choice you make from a position of control and starts being something that feels compelled, necessary or distressing. Problem gambling does not always look dramatic — it can develop gradually, often hidden from family and friends.

The signs below are not a clinical diagnosis, but they are patterns that frequently accompany harmful gambling behaviour. If several of these feel familiar, we strongly encourage you to use the self-exclusion or cooling-off tools above and to reach out to a support service. It takes real strength to acknowledge that a pattern has become harmful.

This applies equally whether you are betting on Pakistan matches during the PSL in Lahore, following ICC tournaments from Karachi, or playing live casino games at 2am in Rawalpindi — the activity makes no difference to the underlying pattern.

Spending more money than you intended or can afford on gambling regularly.

Chasing losses — placing further bets to try to recover money already lost.

Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, depression or personal problems.

Lying to family members or others about how much time or money you spend gambling.

Neglecting work, studies or family responsibilities because of time spent gambling.

Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling activity.

Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when not gambling or when trying to cut down.

Failed repeated attempts to stop or control your gambling, despite wanting to.

Gambling with larger and larger stakes to get the same level of excitement or satisfaction.

Thinking about gambling constantly — planning the next session, calculating odds or replaying past sessions in your mind.

Check In With Yourself

Quick Self-Assessment

Honest answers to these questions can help you reflect on your relationship with gambling. This is not a clinical screening tool — it is a personal reflection exercise. If you answer "yes" to three or more, we encourage you to speak to a support service.

1

Have you ever gambled with money that was set aside for essential expenses — rent, food, utility bills or school fees?

2

Have you ever placed a bigger bet than planned in order to try to win back earlier losses?

3

Have you felt the need to keep your gambling secret from people close to you — family in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere?

4

Have you ever borrowed money, sold items or delayed a financial obligation in order to fund gambling?

5

Has gambling ever caused significant conflict in your personal relationships, at work or in your studies?

6

Have you tried to stop or reduce your gambling and found it difficult — or felt anxious and irritable when you tried?

7

Do you gamble as a way to deal with negative feelings, boredom, stress or emotional distress?

Three or more "yes" answers suggest that gambling may be having a harmful impact on your life. Please consider using the self-exclusion tool in your Account Settings and reaching out to a qualified support service. You can also contact Gamblers Anonymous or a mental-health professional for confidential guidance.

Take Control

How to Self-Exclude

Self-exclusion is the strongest responsible gambling tool available on 98pr. It closes your account for a period you choose — from six months to permanent — and cannot be reversed within the selected period. There is no cooling-off window that allows you to change your mind mid-exclusion.

You do not need to explain or justify your decision to anyone on the Support team. The process is designed to be straightforward so that the moment you decide you need to stop, you can act on that decision immediately — before the urge passes.

Any real-money balance in your account at the time of exclusion will be returned to your registered payment method, subject to completed KYC verification. Bonus funds are forfeited on exclusion.

Important: After self-excluding, do not attempt to open a new account on 98pr. Doing so is a breach of our Terms & Conditions and a sign that stronger external support may be needed. Please contact a dedicated gambling support service if you are struggling to maintain your exclusion.

1
Log in to Your 98pr Account

Navigate to your account from any device — mobile or desktop. The responsible gambling tools work on all platforms. If you have forgotten your password, use the account recovery option on the login screen.

2
Open Account Settings

Tap or click your account icon (usually at the top right of the interface) to open the dropdown menu, then select "Account Settings" or "My Profile."

3
Select "Responsible Gambling" or "Player Safety"

Inside Account Settings, locate the Responsible Gambling or Player Safety section. All protection tools — deposit limits, session timers, loss limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion — are grouped here.

4
Choose "Self-Exclusion" and Select a Period

Select "Self-Exclusion" from the tools list. Choose your preferred exclusion period — 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years or permanent. Read the confirmation notice carefully, which explains that the exclusion cannot be reversed.

5
Confirm and Complete

Confirm your selection. You will receive an email confirmation that self-exclusion is active. Your account will be closed to new bets and deposits immediately. Remaining real-money funds will be returned per operator policy following KYC confirmation.

6
Need Help? Contact Support Directly

If you experience any difficulty activating self-exclusion through Account Settings, contact the 98pr 24/7 Support team via live chat or email at [email protected]. Support agents are trained to process self-exclusion requests promptly and without pressure.

Play Smart

Healthy Habits vs Warning Patterns

Understanding the difference between recreational gambling and harmful patterns is the first step to staying in control.

Healthy Gambling Habits
Set a fixed entertainment budget before you start — and stick to it regardless of results.
Treat gambling as entertainment, not as income or a financial strategy.
Take regular breaks — step away from a PSL match or live casino session even while it's in progress.
Use deposit and session limits proactively, before you feel the need to, as a structural safeguard.
Accept losses as part of the activity. Never attempt to recover them through larger or unplanned bets.
Keep gambling a small and bounded part of a life that has other enjoyable activities and social connections.
Be open with trusted people about your gambling habits — accountability helps maintain perspective.
Warning Patterns to Avoid
Gambling with money needed for essentials — groceries, rent, school fees, utility bills.
Expecting or relying on gambling winnings to solve financial problems.
Increasing bet sizes progressively to maintain the same level of excitement or to "feel the rush."
Chasing losses — the belief that the next bet will recover everything is a cognitive trap, not a strategy.
Gambling as a coping mechanism for stress, anxiety, loneliness or difficult life events.
Hiding your gambling activity from family or close friends and feeling ashamed if discovered.
Continuing to play after reaching your planned limit because "just one more bet" will turn things around.

Support Resources

98pr can help you apply limits and close your account — but professional gambling counsellors and mental-health services can offer the deeper support that platform tools cannot provide. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out.

Our Commitment

How 98pr Approaches Responsibility

Responsible gambling at 98pr is not a compliance checkbox — it is a product commitment that is built into how the platform operates. From the first moment a user registers, the system applies age verification, account limits infrastructure and session monitoring. Player-protection tools are not hidden or difficult to find; they are prominently accessible in Account Settings and referenced throughout the platform interface.

Our Support team is trained to recognise the signs of problem gambling in user communications and to respond appropriately — referring users to the tools available, signposting external resources and, in urgent cases, processing protective measures such as account cooling-off or self-exclusion without delay. Users never need to justify or explain their decision to use any of these tools.

We do not use promotional tactics designed to exploit vulnerable users — we do not send targeted bonus offers to accounts that have self-excluded, applied limits or have been flagged through responsible-gambling monitoring. We do not set promotional terms that make it practically impossible to stop playing without financial penalty.

We are also honest about the limitations of our role. Platform tools are a safeguard — they are not a substitute for professional treatment, counselling or the kind of structural support that only trained specialists and peer groups can provide. If you are at the point where platform tools feel insufficient, please reach out to one of the external resources referenced above.

One last word: gambling is best understood as entertainment, with a cost attached to that entertainment — similar to a cinema ticket or a meal out. The difference is that gambling comes with the risk of a much larger cost if it is not managed carefully. 98pr's job is to give you the tools to keep that cost within a boundary you have chosen. Your job is to use them.
